Day 3: IHOP/CMNH Event; Rehearsals; Phantom 01/06/2012
We woke up bright and early this morning for the IHOP and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals press event. Our meeting time? 6:30am! This is going to be a trend this week! I am getting up tomorrow morning at 5:50am to go to the gym. I can't even change my mind about it because I signed up and they will knock on my door and wake me up if I don't show! That's probably good for me after all the pancakes! The IHOP event was followed by hours of dance rehearsal. I am SO excited for our production number this year. It is nothing like Miss America has ever done before! It's top secret so I can't tell you anything, so I guess that means you HAVE to watch Miss America on ABC on January 14 from 9-11 Eastern Time. Bummer. ;) After a full day of rehearsal (interspersed with meals at the Spice Market Buffet...no worries, they are feeding us!), we had the privilege of attending "Phantom-The Las Vegas Spectacular" at the Venetian Hotel. It truly was spectacular, complete with moving chandelier, pyrotechnics, and the most incredible scenery I have ever seen. It is still my "secret dream" (which is not so secret now that it is listed in the Miss America program book) that I would LOVE to play Christine in the Phantom of the Opera. Call me.
